Using data, evaluation, and emerging digital tools to strengthen clean energy program design is becoming increasingly important in complex development contexts. This webinar will explore how robust research and evaluation methods can be applied in practice to inform the design and implementation of clean energy and energy efficiency programs across Southeast and South Asia.

Drawing on Asia Clean Energy Partners’ hands-on experience, the session will highlight the use of development-sector surveys, semi-structured interviews, and private-sector assessments to generate actionable insights. It will also showcase how digital tools and artificial intelligence are being leveraged to accelerate data collection, organization, and synthesis, particularly in multi-stakeholder environments involving multilateral development banks. The discussion will further examine how evaluation insights can strengthen engagement strategies, improve implementation planning, and enhance learning outcomes for both donors and beneficiaries.
